Private Medical Insurance
Many health insurance companies will cover Homeopathic and FCT consultations with me. You should check with your insurer your cash limit and other stipulations. Normally you require a letter of referral from your GP.Back to the top

What to wear to your appointments
Metals on the body can interfere with testing, so please minimize jewellery. Women should not wear under-wired bras, for the same reason. With some fairly ill people, synthetic clothing can interfere with testing, so for these people, wearing clothes made of natural fibres is helpful.

How is Testing Done in a Session?
You will be asked to take off any jewellery or metal objects as these can interfere with testing. Metal implants in your body can be taken into account and are not a barrier to testing. You will be asked to lie down fully clothed on a comfortable couch, and relax. You are given a metal rod to hold in your dominant hand. This is attached to a small metal platform upon which are placed various testing vials containing substances in homeopathic dilutions. There is no electric shock involved.
The practitioner gently holds you at both ankles and determines whether there is an involuntary muscle withdrawl or stress response to a test vial.

The First Appointment
This needs to be booked at a time when you can be free of electro-magnetic fields (EMFs) for on average, 2-3 days, within a week after seeing me. During this time, you will take the FCT remedies. Most people manage this at a weekend. Very unwell people need a longer EMF-free period, of up to 5 days. These periods are necessary to help the body detoxify effectively, of metals in particular. The first appointment, as mentioned usually lasts 1-2 hours. It involves going through your medical history, so it is made easier and quicker if you bring with you the completed medical questionnaire, which can be downloaded from this site. I usually do a basic medical examination. I then do the initial FCT testing.
The FCT remedies may either be ready for collection then, or available for collection later in the day, or on occasions, posted to you, for you to start later at home. Usually 4-18 or so FCT remedies are given, in glass dropper bottles.

Second and Subsequent Sessions
Updated details are requested regarding medical symptoms. You may be asked to score out of 10, the severity of your symptoms, to assess how you are doing. Further FCT testing is done. Usually this takes 45 minutes to 1 and 1/2 hours. The remedies will be available as before.Again, these subsequent sessions need to be booked by you for a time when you can be EMF-free for 2 days or so, within a week after seeing me.

Continuing Medication
It is vitally important that you continue all medication, unless it is suggested after an improvement in health, that you visit your GP to discuss the possibility of reducing this. I would be writing to your GP to this effect.Back to the top
Continuing Supplements, Herbs and Existing Homeopathy
Following a consultation, I may suggest reducing and stopping such treatment, if I think it is not helping you.Back to the top
Communication with Your GP
On registering with me for treatment, I request your permission to write to your GP following the first session with me. I write again when suggesting any tests which can be done on the NHS, or when suggesting a change in medication.Back to the top
How Soon Will I See An Improvement With FCT?
The usual experience is after 1-2 sessions of treatment, some improvement is seen. A life-time's worth accumulation of toxins takes some time to remove. The more closely you stick to the diet and EMF avoidance, the better and quicker your response is likely to be.
Laboratory Tests
If I think simple lab tests are needed which can be arranged by your GP, I will suggest this, and will write accordingly to him/her.There are some complicated lab tests for toxins, nutritional status and components of complex metabolic body processes. The problem is that they can be expensive (private sector only). Also the tests for toxins are not always reliable, as many toxins are intracellular, and so a blood, urine, or hair analysis will not accurately reflect the total body load of a toxin.
However, I prefer to back up my treatment with tests, for example urine tests of mercury excretion, as it is useful to see increased excretion after treament.
If the tests are only in the private sector, there will be an additional charge to the appointment fee to reflect this.

Between Sessions
I strongly suggest that you keep as near to the FCT anti-candida diet as possible, in order to maximize the benefits of treatment. In addition, you should continue to minimize EMF exposure in the bedroom in particular.
Also worth considering:
Other Life-Style Suggestions
Memon Technology to minimize the effects of electro-magnetic fields
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
Yoga, T'ai Chi (less strenuous), or Five Tibetan Rites (a shortened form of yoga)
Meditation and development of self-awareness
Laughter therapy
Positive thinking
Adequate rest and sleep
Chemical clean-up in the home
Biological mercury-free dentistry

Total Course of Treatment
This roughly depends on your symptomatology and how many amalgam fillings you have and have had in the past.Maintenance visits are suggested about 3-4 times per year, as the body continues to accumulate toxins and be subject to EMFs. Much as a car needs servicing, the human body needs regular check-ups. Prevention is always better than cure.

Children
Please note that unless children are booked in for appointments themselves, it is difficult to accommodate them while you are being tested, so alternative arrangements need to be made.
Children under the age of 16 need to be accompanied by an adult.
